Jefferson City Medical Group Celebrates 30 Years

Jefferson City Medical Group (JCMG) is celebrating their thirtieth anniversary of business in Missouri’s capitol city. JCMG was founded in 1993 when several small medical practices joined together to better serve Jefferson City. Their mission was simple, to cater to mid-Missouri families with a one-stop shop approach to healthcare. In their early years, JCMG consisted of over 30 specialties and 100 healthcare providers, and they served well over 70,000 patients every year. They centered their approach to medicine on convenience, privacy and high-quality preventative care.

Now, having grown to be the facility that it is today, and celebrating thirty years in the world of medicine, JCMG works closely with patients to create an environment of collaborative care designed to meet all the needs of their families. Rooted in coordination, cooperation and communication, the team of medical professionals at JCMG are dedicated to patient care. Dr. Tom Robbins of JCMG says, “since its inception in July of 1993, Jefferson City Medical Group has provided our community and the surrounding areas with a facility that is fully able to take care of 95% of all medical problems in a single contained location that includes complete laboratory and x-ray services to meet the needs of Jefferson City and our surrounding communities.” It’s clear that the original one-stop shop approach to medicine has evolved with the company as it has grown and expanded throughout the years, leading it to become a wholistic and self-contained, fully equipped medical facility.

As it has grown and changed throughout the decades, JCMG has adapted a multi-specialty group and has expanded to new communities and has become the largest employer in all of Jefferson City. The healthcare providers working behind the scenes at JCMG are active throughout the community of Jefferson City, and their services are rooted in a sense of belonging they all have as parts of the community themselves. They are your neighbors and doctors all rolled into one.

JCMG has grown exponentially since its beginning, and in 2022 opened the JCMG Surgery Center, a 28,000 square foot, freestanding surgery center on West Edgewood Drive. They offer an extensive list of surgical subspecialties and procedures for the first time to community members in a state-of-the-art, convenient and cost-effective outpatient setting. The surgery center is one of the many reasons that JCMG is a fully encompassing place for healthcare.
